Polina S. Umaskaya, a citizen of Russia, born in 1988, graduated the medical department of Tyumen State Medical Academy (TSMA). During the period of 2011 – 2013, she studied in the clinical residency, majoring in psychiatry at the department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Psychotherapy of the Advanced Training and Professional Development of TSMA under the supervision of Doctor of Med. Sc., Professor S.M. Umansky and head of the department, Candidate of Med. Sc., Associate Professor, D.V. Kultyshev.

In September 2013, having finished her first major in psychiatry and narcology at this department, Polina S. Umaskaya entered full-time postgraduate study, majoring in psychiatry and narcology at the department of Medical Psychology and Psychotherapy and taking the course of psychology and pedagogy in TSMA. Since then Polina S. Umaskaya has started working on the dissertation entitled “Comparative analysis of alcohol addiction development, clinical findings of psychoses and suicidal activity among young men and women” under the guidance of Doctor of Med. Sc., Professor B.Y. Prilensky and director of Tomsk Scientific and Research Centre of Mental Health of the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences (RAMS), a corresponding member of the Academy, an honored master of Science in the RF, professor Bokhan N.A.

Since 2004, Polina S. Umaskaya has successfully combined studies with the work of a laboratory assistant at the department. In September 2012 she was promoted to the position of a department assistant. Polina S. Umaskaya is regarded as a competent, responsible and creative specialist. She performs her duties conscientiously and has all what it takes to be a qualified professional.

Since 2013, Polina S. Umaskaya has been working as a psychiatrist-narcologist in the acute medical detoxication unit of Tomsk state-financed health institution “Regional narcological dispensary”.

Since 2013, Polina S. Umaskaya has been a member of Tyumen Regional Association of Psychiatrists, Narcologists and Psychotherapists. She has been engaged into the social activities under the supervision of the Chairman of the Association, D.V. Kultyshev.
